Interview Filming & Talking Head Video
Professionally lit, broadcast-ready on-camera interviews for executives, conference delegates, and documentary subjects across Cape Town and beyond.
A strong interview is one of the most versatile pieces of content a business can commission - the raw material for a company profile, a testimonial cutdown, a social clip series, and a documentary piece, all from a single, well-run sitting. We've filmed executive interviews for Citadel, delegate interviews at the CoMO Members Conference, training-series interviews for the Entrepreneurs' Organization, and conference interviews for the World Health Organization - each with a different backdrop, audience, and purpose, but the same three-point lighting, clean audio, and considered direction underneath.
The technical setup is only half the job. Getting a genuine, unscripted answer on camera takes a few minutes of off-camera conversation before we ever roll, a question list built around what the subject actually wants to say rather than a rigid script, and an eyeline and framing choice matched to whether the piece needs to feel like a conversation or a direct address. We handle all of it - lighting, sound, direction, and the interview itself - so you're left with usable, credible footage regardless of how comfortable your subject is on camera going in.
Not every example below is a straight interview piece. Some, like our work for Agility and Rubro, are interview-driven from the ground up - the interview is the spine of the film, with the edit built around what the subject says. Others, like our Helbling Reisen and Fairtree projects, use interview footage as one thread woven into a broader stitched narrative alongside brand and campaign footage rather than as the whole story.

Common Questions
Frequently asked
How long does an interview filming shoot take?
For a single subject, budget 60-90 minutes on-site: 20-30 minutes for lighting and sound setup, 10-15 minutes to settle the subject, and 30-45 minutes of interview time.
How many people can you interview in a day?
Once lighting is set for a fixed position, we can typically move through 4-6 subjects in a day if they're rotating through the same seat and background.
Do you provide the interview questions?
Either way works - we can develop a question list aligned to your objectives, or work from questions you provide. We always brief the subject beforehand so nothing comes as a surprise on the day.
Can you film interviews at our offices or at a live event?
Yes - we regularly film on location at client offices and at live conferences and events, bringing our own lighting and sound to control the environment wherever we're set up.
