Mike Burton Group Schools Sports Tour

Mike Burton Group, an international sports travel company, brought a touring schools rugby squad to Cape Town for a multi-day fixture schedule against local schools, alongside netball matches and sightseeing stops including Table Mountain and Cape Winelands venues. Visio Productions was commissioned to provide full-tour stills photography, following the group from match day to match day and capturing the wider tour experience in between.

Sports coverage rewards the same instincts we bring to any live event: knowing where the next phase of play is about to happen, staying close enough to the action without getting in its way, and reading the emotional beats of a squad on tour - the team huddles, the sideline nerves, the post-match relief - as closely as the tries and tackles themselves. Over four days and several venues, that meant working across two codes, changing light, and a schedule that moved fast, to build a final edit that reads less like a highlights reel and more like the story of a tour.
