Siphesande Makele is the first current-generation Muzukidz student to advance from a 3/4-size violin. During lockdown, she intensified her practice, requesting additional WhatsApp lessons and materials from her instructors and working independently through musical pieces.
A benefactor monitoring her progress donated a full-sized violin to support her continued development - a gift Siphesande and her family received with gratitude and renewed enthusiasm for music study.
“I wish the other children from the township, and from across South Africa and the world, can also play the violin.”
